Guest speaker: Dr Charley Lineweaver

Title: We have not yet detected extraterrestrial life…or have we?

Abstract:

I will discuss the most fundamental features of life on earth and describe what we think we know about life in the rest of the universe. These will include the build up of the metallicity of the universe and the presence of water and the other ingredients of know life. I will present evidence for the idea that we may have already discovered life elsewhere without knowing it.
