Me and Amal got married in Sri Lanka on January 9th and I had previously arranged to move into House 2 when we got back on January 20th. Of course we didn't know of the fires til we got to Melbourne Airport and had to change all plans to come to Canberra as we had nowhere to stay! For some reason Ian Sharpe didn't inform me that house 2 didn't burn although I arranged it before. We lived in several friend's places and kids playrooms for a few weeks til we found a rental place (it was so hard to find a place at that time and was it expensive) and finally settled. It was a *great* welcome back to Canberra after the wedding!!
