This talk will be in three parts. The first is an introduction to the SBF survey and comments on what SBF distances tell us about other distance estimators. The second part is a sequence of pretty pictures, because we finally have enough accurate distances to begin the cartography of the nearby universe. The overall coastline has been charted very nicely in the past using redshifts or less accurate distances, but SBF distances now permit us to see the spits and bays of galaxy clusters and groupings. The third part is a detailed analysis of the peculiar motions in the Local Supercluster -- the infall motion and the anisotropy of the Hubble constant created by the external quadrupole potential.
