HOW TO GET TO LES DIABLERETS


BY CAR: Motorway A9, direction Simplon/Grand St-Bernard, exit Aigle. Then the road Aigle - Les Diablerets - Col du Pillon (20km)

BY PLANE: International airports in the area are Geneva (120 km) and Zurich (250 km). At both airports, there is a train station from which you can travel on to Les Diablerets. Information on train schedules can be obtained from the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB-CFF-FFS). From Geneva Airport (total travel time approximately 2h 15 mins): Take a train to Aigle (1h 20 mins), then the connecting mountain train A.S.D (Aigle - Sepey - Diablerets) on to Les Diablerets (55 mins). Some connections involve an extra transfer in Geneva. From Zurich Airport (total travel time approximately 4h 10 mins): Take a train to Lausanne (2h 45 mins), then the connecting train to Aigle (30 mins) and finally the mountain train A.S.D. (Aigle - Sepey - Diablerets) to Les Diablerets (55 mins). Some connections involve an extra transfer in Zurich.

BY TRAIN: From anywhere in Europe, get to Lausanne to take the direct train Lausanne - Brig, get off at Aigle and change to the local railway system Aigle - Sepey - Les Diablerets. There is at least one connection per hour from Lausanne to Les Diablerets. Have a look at the timetable for convenient trains or consult the electronic timetable of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB-CFF-FFS). Specify `Les Diablerets' as your destination. You can enter major European cities as departure station to get direct connections from abroad. International trains, like the TGV, stop in Lausanne. From there, local trains provide connections to Aigle (30 mins), which in turn connect to the mountain train A.S.D (Aigle - Sepey - Diablerets) to Les Diablerets (50 minutes). The ticket prices (2. class, return) from Geneva airport/ Zurich airport /Basel city to Les Diablerets are approximately CHF47 / CHF179 / CHF159.

On Sunday, March 13, between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., the EUROTEL hotel bus will take participants from the train station in Les Diablerets to the hotel. After 8:00 p.m., you may call the hotel reception from the station to be picked up by the shuttle. The EUROTEL is located at about 400m on your right when leaving the station.
