Introduction

The Australian National University is Australia's premier university for Astronomy and Astrophysics Research. We have dozens of internationally famous astronomers on staff, studying everything from comets to the Big Bang, from stars to black holes.

Evening Classes

Undergraduate Classes

Anybody, regardless of their educational background, can study astronomy at the ANU. Astronomy can be taken as part of a science degree, a joint degree in science with anything else, or as an option by students doing something quite different! Our astronomy courses are taught by prize-winning lecturers, and are generally acknowledged as some of the best taught courses in Australia.
